Andreas Pereira put in another stand-out performance for Manchester United’s U21s on Monday night in the 4-0 win over Southampton.
The 20-year-old midfielder was in sparkling form in a performance which showed just how far above U21s level he is at this stage in his career.
Man United fans who were watching the game were certainly impressed by just how well Pereira played:
Don't know more Pereira needs to do to get more game time for the first team. #mufc

Going back to my earlier point about Lingard (also applies to Memphis). I'd be giving Pereira a chance, he'll get fed up being a sub.

Pereira deserves a PL start at CAM against So'ton.

@PeoplesPerson_ Why I wish we had sold Fellaini. Everytime Fellani plays is a game Pereira would have gotten.

It’s impossible to justify Marouane Fellaini being in the team ahead of Pereira but it’s a case of positioning and the youngster isn’t suited for a deeper central midfield role – he needs to play in the No.10 role.
Yet, after putting in consecutively excellent performances for United’s U21s, Pereira will be expecting some opportunities to impress Louis van Gaal with the first-team. If he doesn’t get that, you get the feeling he’d be rightly frustrated at a lack of chances.
