Friday was dominated by Pep Guardiola as L’Equipe claimed that Manchester United had met with the former Barcelona boss this week.
Guardiola recently confirmed his intention to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the campaign and Man United are said to be one of a number of clubs interested in his signature.
However, United swiftly denied the reports, insisting they were false. Of course, United were never going to say that they had met with Guardiola and it will be interesting to see how the situation pans out.
Elsewhere, the agent of Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski refused to deny reports that the Polish striker is set to leave the Allianz Arena in the summer.
Lewandowski is reportedly unhappy with Carlo Ancelotti replacing Guardiola. His agent, Cezary Kucharski, insisted that “you can never know what will happen”.
Finally, United have been linked with moves for Juventus’ Alvaro Morata and Feyenoord’s Tahith Chong. Morata has fallen down the pecking order at the Old Lady this term while 16-year-old Chong is widely considered to be an excellent prospect.
