Here is the latest Man United transfer news and gossip.

Real Madrid midfielder Gareth Bale has been put off a transfer to Manchester United due to the state of uncertainty surrounding Louis van Gaal‘s side. The Independent have reported that the Welshman ‘gave serious consideration’ to a move to Old Trafford after Man United offered a world record fee of £100m last summer but that he has now changed his mind.

Ed Woordward has not given up hope of signing Manchester City favourite Pep Guardiola to replace van Gaal as Man United manager at the end of the season. Reports have suggested that Woodward recently asked senior players for their opinion on the Dutch manager and preferred choice of replacement.

Elsewhere, Florentino Perez has revealed he does not expect Real Madrid to make any signings in the January transfer window.
The Madrid president rubbished rumours that the Spanish side would go all out for long-term targets like David de Gea as a result of their transfer ban. Perez admitted: “The FIFA sanction is hurtful, but we are not going to be making any signings in the January window but that doesn’t have anything to do with the ban.”

Lastly, Spain manager Vincent Del Bosque has described Victor Valdesdisappointing Man United career as “incredible”.
