Man United fans unfurl ‘Rhymes with sack? Attack, Attack, Attack’ banner at Derby

Manchester United fans had an ace new banner at Derby on Friday night with a message for Louis van Gaal.

“Rhymes with sack? Attack, Attack, Attack.”

Luckily for van Gaal, Man United’s players obliged with a very comfortable and entertaining performance which saw Wayne Rooney score a screamer, Daley Blind net a pearler and Juan Mata seal the game after some Anthony Martial made Derby’s defender look silly on the wing.

That wasn’t so hard was it United? You know, playing attacking football, taking shots and actually scoring goals? You should try it more often.

We’ve had plenty of false dawns this season – least not the win away at Anfield – but they’ve not been followed up by any sort of consistency. We’ve now got another opportunity to turn the corner with Stoke visiting Old Trafford on Tuesday and this is a crunch point for van Gaal and United this season.

If we revert to the dull, mundane football which has plagued Old Trafford this year after such an entertaining display, albeit against Derby, then I’m not sure where fans can turn any more but to call for van Gaal to be sacked.
