Luke Shaw might not be on the pitch any more but he’s keeping in touch with Manchester United fans on social media.
Shaw, 20, celebrated Juan Mata‘s goal against Derby which sealed an important 3-1 win and a place in the FA Cup Fifth Round.
He would also have been impressed with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson‘s performance on the night as the 18-year-old has stepped into Shaw’s boots very well since coming off the bench against Liverpool and looks to be our best replacement for him this season.

I honestly cannot wait for Shaw to be back in action. Louis van Gaal‘s style of play relies on overlapping full-backs and Shaw was doing that for fun at the start of the season but a cruel double leg break halted his progress.
In his absence, United have struggled with those overlapping runs and as such our attacking threat has been reduced, sometimes to the point of having none at all.
I’m hoping Borthwick-Jackson can bridge that gap much better than Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind or Ashley Young has been able to do this season because if he can strike up a great partnership with Anthony Martial out on the left, we’re going to cause any defence issues there.
Anyway, it’s good to see Shaw watching the team in action and I hope there haven’t been any complications thus far with his recovery.
