David de Gea has hailed Manchester United’s “great performance” in the 3-0 win over Stoke City on Tuesday.

Man United were superb against the Potters and comfortably wrapped up the win thanks to goals from Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.

De Gea, who didn’t have to much to do during the clash, urged his teammates to “continue this way” and wished his friend, Stoke’s Bojan, the best of luck for the rest of the campaign:

With Manchester City recently confirming that Pep Guardiola will take over at the Etihad next season, Louis van Gaal needed a good performance and win against Stoke and he got exactly that.

There has been a doom and gloom about United this season but the goals they scored against Stoke reminded supporters of the teams of old.

It is crucial that United build up a head of steam with a run of victories, although the trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Sunday will be a tough test.
