All three players had a crucial role to play in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
De Gea was in inspirational form between the sticks to keep Chelsea at bay right up until the final minutes when Diego Costa rounded him to equalise for the home side.
While Lingard had a quiet game overall, his unbelievable goal gave Man United the lead in what was a very tight game up until that point but for me it was all about Borthwick-Jackson at Stamford Bridge.
The 19-year-old was supremely confident and hardly put a foot wrong for the whole 90 minutes, just like he did when he came off the bench at Anfield against Liverpool. In a season of injury woes, Borthwick-Jackson’s rise has been a welcome reprieve and it’s fantastic to see a local lad doing so well.
