Rio Ferdinand has questioned Manchester United’s decision’s to sell Danny Welbeck to Arsenal.
The Englishman made his return in style for Arsenal after nearly a year out and found the all-important winner in the closing minutes of the game against league leaders Leicester City.
Welbeck has been out of action since April last year due to knee surgery and has missed the entire season so far, but was able to put Arsene Wenger’s back in the hunt for the Premier League title.
Talking on Twitter, Ferdinand couldn’t believe Man United let the 25-year-old leave the club.
Welbeck……..i aint even going to start…..happy for Welbz but how @manutd let him go?

Arsene Wenger paid £16m for Welbeck despite the fact that he had only managed to score 29 goals in 142 appearances but let’s get one thing straight with Rio – at the time of him leaving, it was the right move.
Much like letting Gerard Pique join Barcelona, keeping at United when he wasn’t going to be starting any games seemed unfair and the club let him move on. It was a choice between him and Falcao, so Welbeck was always going to struggle to win that argument.
Now Falcao is out of the picture and Welbeck scored a late winner for Arsenal, it’s easy to say van Gaal was wrong to let him go but I don’t think he was at the time.
