Louis van Gaal has confirmed that David de Gea will undergo a scan tomorrow after the keeper picked up an injury during the warm-up in Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League.
De Gea had to be replaced by Sergio Romero in the starting line up after picking up the knock.
Romero put in an excellent display and made a number of world-class saves but he could not prevent Man United succumbing to a dismal loss. Van Gaal revealed that De Gea has a problem with his knee.

United’s injury crisis has gone from bad to worse in recent days, with Wayne Rooney also picking up a complaint that could keep him out of action for up to two months.
Van Gaal’s squad has been tested to the limit and it showed as they were abysmal against Midtjylland.
The Dutchman’s decision to trim the squad in the summer has come back to haunt him and the blame for United’s awful form must lie at his feet.
