Nick Powell has admitted he missed Manchester United’s 2-1 Europa League loss against FC Midtjylland on Thursday because he was playing FIFA.
Powell joined Hull City from Man United on loan for the rest of the campaign on the final day of the winter transfer window.
United were deservedly beaten by Midtjylland in Denmark this week thanks to goals from Pione Sisto and Paul Onuachu. Powell, who will be out of contract at United in the summer, admitted that he was playing video games while his parent club struggled against Midtjylland.

Powell’s attitude has always stunk and it is no surprise to hear that he wasn’t too bothered about watching United.
In his defence, he picked a good game to miss, as United put in arguably their worst performance of the season.
Confidence in Louis van Gaal is at an all-time low but it seems that the club are reluctant to sack him. You get the sense that they will live to regret the decision.
