Rio Ferdinand has slammed Louis van Gaal on Twitter for taking Manchester United backwards as a club since his arrival.
The former Man United defender has sat on the fence quite a lot this season and tried to remain somewhat impartial in his role as a BT Sports pundit, although he has question the Dutchman’s style of play on occasion.
Now, he’s firmly criticised van Gaal and questioned whether United were worse off now than when he took over from David Moyes.
Given LVG loads of time…the team have gone backwards since his arrival. The style of football has no resemblence to @manutd at all.

I think van Gaal did a lot of good in steadying the crumbling ship which David Moyes left behind but unfortunately I do also believe it has gone full circle. Now, it does feel worse than it ever did under Moyes.
That’s when you know the ship has sailed and time is up for van Gaal when you feel that things weren’t as bad under Moyes, that’s as bad as it gets.
With the Jose Mourinho rumours continuing to intensify following comments from Inter director Bedy Moratti which suggest Jose is definitely on his way to Manchester.
