Lazio director overheard saying Felipe Anderson will join Manchester United for €60m

Lazio director Claudio Lotito has been overheard by journalists saying he has already agreed to sell Felipe Anderson to Manchester United for €60m this summer.

Speaking to colleagues, Lotito was overheard by the press confirming that the 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder is going to leave and join Man United.

“I signed Felipe Anderson for €8m and have already re-sold him for €60m,” Lotito reportedly said.

“Next year he’ll go to Manchester United.”

Man United have been linked with Anderson for the last few months while bids of €50m had already been rejected for him, so this is not the first time his name as cropped up.

It would be one hell of a faux pas of Lotito to say this loud enough for the press to hear and if it isn’t true, then there will almost certainly be a denial from the club pretty swiftly.

If it is true, then it looks like United are signing a young Brazilian midfielder with bags of potential. What could possibly go wrong?
