David Beckham urges Jose Mourinho to return back to management in England as soon as possible

David Beckham has urged Jose Mourinho to return to the Premier League as soon as possible.

Mourinho has been out of management since he was fired by Chelsea in December after a disappointing start to the season.

During that time, pressure has built on Louis van Gaal who now has an uncertain future at Old Trafford and the Portuguese manager is currently odds on favourite to replace the Dutchman.

Speaking about Jose, Beckham insists he wants to see Mourinho back in England soon.

He said: “I hope Mourinho comes back to the Premier League very soon, we need characters like that in the game. I hope he’s back quickly because the English public love him, fans love seeing him on the sidelines.”

Now, Beckham isn’t talking specifically about Mourinho coming to manage Manchester United but who else could he be talking about?

Man City have Pep Guardiola, Liverpool have Jurgen Klopp, Arsenal have Arsene Wenger, Tottenham Hotspur have Mauricio Pochettino and Mourinho isn’t going back to Chelsea any time soon. Surely United are the only option.

Hate him or love him, the Premier League has always been better off as a spectacle with Mourinho in it and United need a manager like him to help us properly recover as a club after the last three years.
