Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Jose Mourinho has revealed he doesn’t have a job yet admits he wants to start next year with a new club and a new project. Speaking in Singapore at Northflight School, he made it clear he did not have a new job at the moment and insisted he was happy with that currently.

Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia returned to action for Man United this week in training to give us a much needed injury boost. Both players have been sidelined for some time after undergoing surgery, on a dislocated shoulder and ankle respectively, but are now fit enough to return to train alongside their team-mates.

Man United have negotiated a gentleman’s agreement with SL Benfica for the transfer of Renato Sanches, reports Record in Portugal. Speaking about the 18-year-old, Record say no transfer fee has been decided as of yet but mention the €40m up-front price plus €20m add-ons which we have covered on The Peoples Person previously.

Lastly, German national team coach Oliver Bierhoff has labelled Louis van Gaal‘s treatment of Bastian Schweinsteiger at Manchester United as ‘unfortunate’. He suggested in December the 31-year-old has not been at the level he showed in Bayern Munich and that he could have performed better in each game he’s played but Bierhoff feels van Gaal was wrong to publicly criticise the midfielder.
