Manchester United have been further boosted on the injury front by the return of Matteo Darmian who was back at training today.
The 26-year-old didn’t take part with the first-team but simply being back at Carrington is a big step in the right direction for him after he suffered a dislocated shoulder against Sunderland only a few weeks ago.
Donald Love and Guillermo Varela have played there in his absence but Darmian remains first choice for that position, so his availability will see him return to the starting XI straight away just like he was when he previously came back from injury even though Varela was playing pretty well.

Ever since Arsenal away, Darmian’s season has been very much on the rocks and up and down. His consistent form from the start of the year was replaced by an unreliability which made him dangerous at right-back. With so many injury woes, he’s found that hard to recover from.
With a few months left of the season, there is still time for Darmian to return to form ahead of Euro 2016 but firstly he’s got to concentrate on recovering properly. As Marcos Rojo showed this year by repeating his dislocated shoulder from last season, it’s imperative that Darmian fully recovers otherwise he risks repeating the injury next year.
