Van Gaal’s side currently have 14 first-team players injured and the recovery of both midfielders will help the Dutchman strengthen his team selection once again.
The Club will face Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League just days after their 5-1 victory over FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and it looks like our injury problems are starting to subside.
“Valencia is also coming back and Fellaini too – in the month of March, a lot of players are coming back and then we have a strong selection again,” van Gaal said.
I don’t think either Valencia or Fellaini should come into our starting XI any time soon but simply having a full squad at his disposal is a luxury van Gaal hasn’t had for large parts of the season.
As long as Fellaini is used at the right times he can be an asset and the same goes for Valencia, although it’s been a long time since the Ecuadorian has been in action after undergoing surgery on his ankle, and right-wing has been a bit of a problem position for United.
With so many games coming up in March including a double Europa League header against Liverpool, we need as many players available as possible.
