Donald Love had to be taken off early during Manchester United’s U21s game against Middlesbrough on Monday night with a suspected hamstring injury.
The 21-year-old full-back grimaced on the bench as he received treatment and was replaced by Sadiq El-Fitouri.
Having been brought into Man United’s first-team recently due to our almost unprecedented injury situation in the full-back position, it’s an unfortunate blow for Love.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Joe Riley, Guillermo Varela and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson are four other youngsters who have made their debuts this year at full-back during this continuing injury crisis and it is showing no signs of slowing down.
Matteo Darmian and Luke Shaw are also still sidelined with serious injuries, Marcos Rojo went off with an injury against Arsenal and both Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young are still unavailable for selection as well.
With a very busy March coming up including Wednesday night’s game against Watford plus a Europa League double header against Liverpool in our first ever European clash together, our thin squad is really going to be pushed to its absolute limits so further injuries are only going to make it harder.
