Manchester United’s full squad vs Watford: Darmian and Rojo return but Carrick, Smalling and Borthwick-Jackson out

Manchester United’s squad for Wednesday night’s game against Watford is once again an extremely young one.

Chris Smalling, Michael Carrick and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson all miss out through injury while Adnan Januzaj and Andreas Pereira have been left out after playing for the U21s on Monday.

In some positive news, Matteo Darmian has returned to the squad far earlier than expected and Marcos Rojo is also back in the team having recovered quickly from the injury which forced him off against Arsenal.

Anthony Martial is in the squad but we’ll have to wait and see whether Louis van Gaal decides to bring him straight back into the starting XI or if he continues with the on-fire Marcus Rashford.

Here is United’s squad in full as per Manchester Evening News: De Gea, Romero, Darmian, Varela, Poole, Blind, Riley, Rojo, Fosu-Mensah, Rothwell, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Mata, Lingard, Memphis, Weir, Rashford, Martia
