Luke Shaw joined his Manchester United’s teammates at Carrington today for a Man United Foundation day.
The day sees lots of kids get an opportunity to meet their heroes and it’s always great to see the club taking part in things like this because it creates memories which will last forever.
For United fans as well, seeing Shaw in his training kit alongside his United teammates is another step in the right direction on the same day reports suggested he could be back before the end of the season.
United have missed Shaw more than any other player who has been injured this season simply because we’ve found it impossible to replace him. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has probably been the best understudy to him but nobody has the energy and pace that Shaw has on the overlap.
Seeing Shaw doing well in his rehabilitation after such a horrible injury is encouraging but we won’t know whether he is able to fully return until he’s back in action. For the time being, at least his recovery is progressing as it should be.
