Manchester United’s players put smiles on the faces of young fans at the Manchester United Foundation’s Dream Day on Tuesday.
Captain Wayne Rooney led Man United as they met young fans with serious and life-limiting illnesses at the special event, which takes place at the Aon Training Complex twice a season.
Fans travelled from across the country to watch the first-team train from the Jimmy Murphy Visitors’ Centre and meet their heroes. It was a special occasion and the United squad enjoyed spending time with the children:

It was fantastic to see the children beaming with delight after meeting the United first-team.
United have received plenty of criticism, and rightly so, but the event on Tuesday reminded supporters to put things in perspective.
A win over Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday would certainly cap what has been a superb week for the young fans.
