Bastian Schweinsteiger returned to training this week with his Manchester United team-mates and took part in today’s session ahead of Liverpool.
The German midfielder is not expected to be fi to play but it’s good to have him back in training.
With crucial games coming up this March including next week’s second Europa League leg against Liverpool plus the Manchester Derby, having Schweinsteiger available will be a real boost to the squad.
Here’s a video of Schweinsteiger in a passing drill at Carrington this afternoon as well:

We’ve missed a calming presence like Schweinsteiger to hold the midfield together in his absence because Michael Carrick has been off colour, or out of position, a lot of the time.
Schweinsteiger’s fitness was always a concern when we signed him and he has spent large parts of this season not at 100% match fitness but heading into the final months of the season, hopefully he can stay fit and give United a much needed option in midfield.
