Scholes: Van Gaal ‘wouldn’t last two minutes’ at Bayern or Madrid

Paul Scholes has claimed that Louis van Gaal “wouldn’t last two minutes” at a club like Bayern Munich or Real Madrid following Manchester United’s 2-0 loss against Liverpool.

Man United were beaten by Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday in what was the latest in a series of disappointments for van Gaal’s side this term.

The result came after a 1-0 loss against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League and Scholes was highly critical of van Gaal while talking to BT Sport:

Jurgen Klopp has been at Liverpool a matter of months but it is clear where he is taking them and how much they have improved.

Van Gaal, in charge of United for almost two years, has taken his side backwards.

Barely any of his signings have improved since they were brought to the club, United’s play is abysmal and it’s got to the point now where fans are almost expecting their side to lose. The sooner van Gaal goes, the better.
