Manchester United fans were disappointed with Marouane Fellaini‘s performance during their side’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United in the FA Cup on Sunday.
After a subpar display at Liverpool on Thursday, United fans expected to see Fellaini demoted to the bench for what was a vital encounter.
As it was, Louis van Gaal gave the Belgian another chance against West Ham – a chance he failed to take. Man United fans weren’t happy with Fellaini:
Playing with Fellaini is like letting the air out of your tyres before driving on the Autobahn.

In what was a physical contest, one might have thought that this FA Cup quarter-final would have acted as an ideal platform for Fellaini to assert himself.
Sadly, however, the 28-year-old’s physical nuisance was more agonising for Man United fans than for the West Ham players. Partnered alongside Michael Carrick, his inability to bring the ball forward and advance play hindered any attacking movement.
There are days where Fellaini is a rampaging, effervescent force in attack, one that breaks up play and rips the heart out of the opposition’s core. But there are also days like this, where the big Belgian’s impact was nominal and downright frustrating.
