Manchester United’s David de Gea has insisted that his side does not “surrender” following the 1-1 draw against West Ham United in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Man United earned a sixth-round Cup replay at Upton Park as Anthony Martial scored to cancel out Dimitri Payet’s superb free-kick.
The result meant United avoided what could have been a disastrous few days having lost 2-0 against Liverpool in the Europa League earlier last week. De Gea sent a message to fans after the game:
It couldn't be today but after the effort we have the replay. This team doesn't surrender! pic.twitter.com/2vIPLzlXqg

United seemed to ‘surrender’ pretty meekly against Liverpool, with next to no resistance on display as goals from Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino gave Jurgen Klopp’s side a relatively straight forward win.
Were it not for the heroics of De Gea at Anfield, it could have easily been four or five.
United showed good character to keep themselves in the Cup against West Ham but being happy with scraping a draw at home shows where the club is at right now.
