Anthony Martial was all smiles with his wife Samantha after Manchester United’s derby day victory over City and so he should be.
The 20-year-old was once again excellent form and put in a cracking performance up against a City defence which found it so difficult to stop him in full flow.
He might not have grabbed a goal himself but how he played over 90 minutes was absolutely crucial to us coming away from the Etihad with three points.

There was one particular moment which stood out for me from Martial when Marcus Rashford went down with cramp. Instead of stopping, he just ran at City’s defence, skipped past three or four and drew a foul near the corner flag to keep United in possession. It was brilliant.
David de Gea might be the frontrunner for Man United’s Player of the Year for the third consecutive season but Martial is certainly putting himself in contention with how well he’s playing. What a waste of money eh?
