Manchester United players on international duty – When and where

by Tanveer Arayan

Daley Blind and Memphis Depay are in the Netherlands squad for the friendly encounter in Amsterdam against France where they will match up against Anthony Martial.

Injuries to captain Wayne Rooney have left Chris Smalling as the only Man United player in Roy Hodgson’s England squad against Germany where Bastian Schweinsteiger will captain Joachim Low’s side. The German international will also meet Matteo Darmian as they matchup facing Italy later in the week.

David De Gea and Juan Mata will both represent Spain with a friendly versus Romania whilst Paddy McNair is set to start for Northern Ireland against Wales and Slovenia next Monday, Marouane Fellaini also looks likely to play for Belgium against Portugal.

Guillermo Varela has been handed his first call-up to Uruguay’s senior squad for their World Cup qualifiers and Antonio Valencia will be returning to the Ecuador squad for the fixtures versus Paraguay and Colombia.
