Manchester United and Toni Kroos. Prior to the German midfielder joining Real Madrid, it was a flirtation which went on for a summer which ultimately left Man United fans empty handed as so many transfer sagas do with our club.
Now, the Kroos rumours have re-surfaced thanks to RMC Sport editor Mohamed Bouhafsi. He claims Paris St Germain are in talks with Kroos but says he is on Pep Guardiola’s shortlist at Manchester City and that United are willing to pay €50m for him.
With Michael Carrick on the way down at the ripe old age of 34, United need to replace him in the next couple of years. Could Kroos be that man?

I’ve always been a big fan of Kroos and was a little frustrated we missed out on him when he joined Madrid. He’s the sort of midfielder which makes a team tick and we need that sort of player to partner Morgan Schneiderlin, it’s why Ander Herrera was such an excellent combination but Louis van Gaal has broken that up as quickly as it started to look good.
United have had a huge overhaul of players in the last few years under both David Moyes and van Gaal but with a new manager likely to come in this summer, there’s every chance it’s going to happen once again and Kroos’ name has been thrown back into the hat once again.
