Such are the expectations which Anthony Martial has created through his own performances, it comes as a surprise when you don’t see him lighting up the pitch.
Tonight against France, his 45 minute cameo against Russia was one of those games. While he offered a threat from the left as always, it was his teammate Antoine Griezmann who stole the headlines with two assists.
The good thing for Manchester United is the fact Martial only played 45 minutes before being taken off by Didier Deschamps and came through the international break uninjured.
If Martial wasn't Manchester United player he would not be in that France national team.

Martial should be absolutely fine to start against Everton on Sunday and every game is a big one for United now if we are going to mount a challenge for the top four positions.
Beating Manchester City at the Etihad in our last game will count for nothing if we can’t win our home games at Old Trafford and that needs to start against Everton.
