Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has insisted he feels “very good” at Borussia Dortmund amid suggestions that Manchester United are interested in signing him.
The Gabon international has enjoyed a sensational campaign this term, scoring 36 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for club and country.
Aubameyang’s form has reportedly alerted a number of top teams in Europe, with Man United, Arsenal and Real Madrid all said to be interested. However, Aubameyang appeared to dismiss suggestions that he could leave Dortmund.
“Dortmund is a city which is totally crazy about football. In the last years, we have the highest average attendance in Europe,” he said.
“I also have not extended my contract at BVB until 2020 without a reason. I feel very good here.”
Dortmund are establishing themselves among Europe’s elite once again and the fact is that United are firmly a team in transition.
Couple that with the likelihood that United will miss out on Champions League football next season and the move doesn’t look to make much sense for Aubameyang. That being said, United will be aware that every player has their price.
