Borussia Dortmund sporting director Hans-Joachim Watzke has revealed that the German club would only consider selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if they were offered at least £78m for his services.
Aubameyang has enjoyed a remarkable campaign for Dortmund this term, scoring 32 goals in 36 appearances.
The striker’s form has reportedly alerted the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid but Watzke insisted only a huge offer would tempt Dortmund into selling him.
“If at any time an offer of 100m [£78m] or 120m [£95m] euros for Aubameyang comes to us, then we will discuss,” he said.
While the figure is a daunting one, it is at least encouraging that Dortmund aren’t ruling out the possibility of selling Aubameyang completely.
Marcus Rashford has been impressing in the first team recently but Aubameyang is a supreme talent and one that could take United back to the top should they land him.
