Romelu Lukaku’s agent suggests the Everton striker is ready for a move to one of “Europe’s best teams”.
The 22-year-old has had a spectacular season scoring 25 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for Roberto Martinez’s struggling side.
Subsequently, the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have all been linked with Lukaku and his father also revealed a move to Chelsea could be a possibility.
Mino Raiola suggested he’s ready to play for Europe’s Elite next season.
“He’ll keep getting stronger. Everything depends on his work and on luck. He’s already ready to play in Europe’s best teams,” Raiola said.
Hate him or love him, Raiola is an excellent agent in terms of getting the best possible deal or outcome for his players and he’s doing just that with Lukaku right now.
I can’t see Everton being able to keep Lukaku after this season but whoever does buy him will have to pay some serious money in the region of £60m+ given the current context of player values in the market, plus Raiola will no doubt demand big wages too.
Would I like to see him at United? Of course. Young, prolific, strong and determined to be the best, Lukaku has all the traits of a player who could go on to excel for us and we do need some reinforcements up front. Will it happen? It remains to be seen but Raiola will certainly continue to flirt with us and any other top club in Europe.
