The South stand is going to be unveiled this weekend as the new Sir Bobby Charlton stand ahead of Manchester United’s game with Everton on Sunday.
Nobody embodies the club more as a player than Sir Bobby does. Having come through our youth academy, survived the Munich Air Disaster and having been part of the 1968 European Cup triumph, he really has been through the darkest and lightest days of Man United.
In commemoration, the South stand has been renamed and here is a picture of it, along with a glimpse of what some of the mosaics will be inside Old Trafford for when it is unveiled.

The word legend is thrown around in modern football but Sir Bobby is the true definition of it and it’s going to be extremely fitting that we will now have the Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton stands inside Old Trafford, named after two men who have helped build this club to where it is today.
