Zlatan Ibrahimovic demands £600,000 a week for Premier League move – report

by Tanveer Arayan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is demanding £600,000 a week to come to the Barclays Premier League, according to Daily Mail.

The 34-year-old is out of contract with Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season and has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

He has also allegedly been talking to teams in China, where it is believed they have offered him £1million a week, but is keen on a move to England.

Reports suggest Ibrahimovic is demanding a world record wage of £600,000-a-week, which would leave Man United forking out the biggest wages ever paid in this country, more than double the current Premier League record of Wayne Rooney’s £260,000-a-week.

I’m honestly not sure there is any player in the world who is worth anywhere near that much money to any club. You’d even balk at paying that to Lionel Messi, let alone Ibrahimovic who is 34 and merely looking for a year somewhere before he more than likely moves to the MLS.

Ibrahimovic is a proven goalscorer but for that amount of wages you could get four top class players. Surely no club, except Chinese ones who have more money than sense, would consider paying that much even if he demanded it? That being said, United have got serious financial money and we all know Ed Woodward loves the idea of a marquee signing.
