Manchester United’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend is a crucial game in the race to finish in the top four of the Premier League and Louis van Gaal’s side must get a positive result. With that in mind, here’s who we think should definitely start on Sunday:
Up against Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli, United may find it difficult to control the middle of the park at White Hart Lane but Schneiderlin’s workrate and passing should give them a fighting chance. The Frenchman has been excellent for the majority of the campaign and van Gaal will be counting on him to do it again.
Blind has played a lot of football in recent months but his performance against Everton last time out was arguably his best in a United shirt.
The Dutchman shut down Romelu Lukaku and barely gave him a sniff as United closed out a 1-0 win. Harry Kane is in scintillating form right now and Blind will be hoping for another strong performance to limit the England striker’s influence on the game.
Spurs have built their success this season on a solid defence and Martial will need to make a nuisance of himself once again. Hopefully he has a goal or two in him.
