Manchester United and Everton sent scouts to watch AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen last weekend, according to MailOnline.
Janssen has been in impressive form for Alkmaar this season, scoring 15 goals in his previous 13 games for the Dutch club.
The 21-year-old also scored a penalty for the Netherlands at Wembley against England during the last international break.
Paris Saint-Germain were represented, too, as Janssen lined up against PSV Eindhoven but he could not prevent his side suffering a 4-2 defeat.
Man United seem to be in the market for a striker this summer, with PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also linked with moves to Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford has impressed in the first team in recent weeks but he cannot be relied upon to deliver on a consistent basis. An elite striker will help United get back to where they belong.
