The Englishman has enjoyed a spectacular year for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and is leading the race for the Golden Boot after scoring 22 goals so far in the Premier League this season.
His scoring record help turned Spurs into title contenders as they sit second in the league, seven points behind leaders Leicester City, with 18 points still available and Martial’s been impressed by his fellow striker.
“He had a great season last year and he’s underlined just how good he is this time around,” he said.
“He’s a quality player who is very entertaining to watch.
“Spurs are a team who defend well with a lot of aggression and stay compact as a unit. They have a lot of ability up top and that’s why they find themselves currently in second place in the table.”
Kane is undoubtedly Spurs’ danger man on Sunday and both Chris Smalling and Daley Blind will be tasked with keeping him quiet and our recent Premier League performances suggest Kane could be in for a tough game, having only conceded one in our last four matches.
It’s good news for England how well Kane, 22, has done this season and he’s surpassed expectations in much the same fashion as Martial, 20, has for United. Heading into the game, they are the two players who’ll both Pochettino and van Gaal respectively will be looking towards to find the back of the net.
In the 0-0 at Old Trafford this season and the 3-0 win last year, Kane was kept very quiet and here’s hoping the same thing can happen again on Sunday.
