Eamonn Holmes: Manchester United need to fire Louis van Gaal

by Tanveer Arayan

Sky News Anchor and Manchester United fan Eamonn Holmes has urged the club to sack Louis van Gaal as manager this season.

Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela scored within minutes of each other in the second half as the Dutchman’s side lost 3-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Van Gaal decided to swap Marcus Rashford off at half-time, then bizarrely placed winger Ashley Young up front, with striker Anthony Martial staying out wide left and it was a decision which proved to be the wrong choice.

After another abysmal defeat, Holmes has lost patience with van Gaal and wants him out of the club.

“How in the name of God has Van Gaal still got a job at Old Trafford?

“Today has got to be The End! Right I’ve started so I’ll finish …..
Signings rubbish,
Tactics worse,
Substitutions baffling,
It’s a complete farce !”

Your guess is as good as ours Eamonn because no logic justifies van Gaal still being in a job.

Maybe it’s to do with the fact he has a clause in his contract which saves United money if he misses out on a top four spot, maybe it’s because a replacement hasn’t been secured yet. Either way, it’s got nothing to do with the fact he deserves to be here.

We’re all waiting in limbo for the inevitable to happen with van Gaal and the only good thing between now and the end of the season is the fact we’re one game closer to it being over.
