David de Gea – Will need to be on his A-game as West Ham will terrorise him with lots of balls into the box.
Daley Blind – He’s handled Romelu Lukaku before, here’s hoping he can pocket Carroll.
Marcos Rojo – Don’t want him anywhere near the starting XI at the moment but again his height will be what van Gaal wants.
Morgan Schneiderlin – We’ll need him to boss the midfield and not let West Ham run straight at the defence.
Marouane Fellaini – This is not a personal choice, it’s a predicted XI. Expect him to effectively man mark Carroll.
Juan Mata – Was invisible against Spurs, here’s hoping he doesn’t put in a repeat performance.
Anthony Martial – One of our only sparks. Can he light the fire at Upton Park?
Formation: 4-2-3-1 – Both midfielders will sit deep and the onus will be on Mata to bridge the gap between midfield and attack.
