Rashford has enjoyed a remarkable rise to prominence this season, scoring seven goals since his debut for Man United in February.
Martial has also impressed over the course of the campaign and he insisted that him and Rashford are developing a good understanding of each other’s game.
When quizzed about the 18-year-old, Martial said: “I really don’t know who is quicker but I can tell you that he’s certainly very quick.
“He’s a player who is very mature in spite of his young age. He does not feel the pressure and I reckon he’s very bright and intelligent in his style of play.
“These are the qualities that have set him apart.
“We definitely like to link up and combine well, the two of us. I think that with a few more training sessions, this can only improve.”
Martial is just 20 years old himself and it has been fantastic to see two young talents flourishing in the first team at Old Trafford this season.
Rashford still has plenty of work to do if he is to establish himself as a long-term member of the squad but he has got off to the best possible start. He will be looking to score again when United take on Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
