Sir Alex Ferguson has given his approval for Jose Mourinho to take over at Manchester United this summer, according to reports. Marcus Rashford is believed to be close to signing a new contract at Old Trafford. The youngster has burst onto the scene at Man United this season, scoring seven goals since his debut for the club in February.

Man United are allegedly in talks over a £600,000-a-week deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. His contract with the Ligue 1 side expires at the end of the season and Man United are believed to be the favourites to secure the Swede’s services.

Javier Hernandez has revealed that he left Man United because van Gaal told him that he would be his second-choice striker behind Wayne Rooney. Hernandez has gone on to become one of the deadliest strikers in the Bundesliga, scoring 25 goals in 37 games for Leverkusen this season.
