Manchester United fans were delighted with another powerful performance from Anthony Martial in the wake of their side’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
The Frenchman caused havoc down Palace’s right hand side with his lightning quick feet and superb movement.
Once moved from the left hand side to centre forward in the second half, Martial didn’t exert the same level of influence, but was a calm and composed figure nonetheless. Man United fans wasted no time in singing the 20 year old’s praises:
Martial has looked sharp tonight. Wish the midfield would join in the attack. Why we need Herrera. #mufc

It was a good half! Rooney and Martial have stood out from the rest. Good performance by the two.

Upon coming to Old Trafford, Martial announced himself in the best way possible with his unforgettable goal against Liverpool on his debut. Such a moment felt like the first chapter of a long and glittering career in the striker role.
And yet, much to the bemusement of United fans everywhere, Martial has spent the majority of his time in Manchester shunted out to the left hand side. For a player of such goalscoring panache and swiftness, it felt like a crime to move him out the striker’s position.
Nevertheless, Martial has quickly mastered the left-wing position, and his slick movement on and off the ball, alongside his blistering pace, has allowed the Frenchman to flourish – which was only demonstrated further against Palace.
