Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final against Everton on Saturday is arguably the club’s biggest game of the season so far and, with that in mind, we’ve looked at who should start in the clash at Wembley.
Rashford has scored important goals at important times during his brief Man United career so far but he had a tendency to go missing in games in-between the strikes.
That was until the win over Crystal Palace last time out, which saw the 18-year-old mark a turning point in the way his all-round game improved. Rashford’s movement, vision and touch was all superb and his confidence is skyrocketing at exactly the right time.
United’s win over Everton in the Premier League earlier this month saw Blind produce his best performance in a red shirt as he completely shut down the threat of Romelu Lukaku. His side will need him to produce a similar performance at Wembley.
Everton have looked awful in recent weeks but Lukaku is the sort of player who can score a goal from nothing and Blind will need to be on top form to keep the Belgian quiet.
Consistently United’s most dangerous player this season, the Frenchman’s direct running and intelligent movement should cause a depleted Everton defence plenty of problems.
Martial’s combination play with Martial, too, will be vital to United’s game-plan as they look to get on the front foot early on in the clash.
