Earlier on Thursday we covered quotes from Hayley McQueen, ex-MUTV presenter and current Sky Sports News anchor, on Louis van Gaal.
As Hayley understands it, United are getting set to head into next season with van Gaal in charge. After we put the quotes on Twitter, there were plenty of angry United fans:
God, no. PLEASE God, no!! https://t.co/CSz2u4ZHX2

After being questioned on Twitter, Hayley felt obliged to respond with her own comments, saying they were not news and how she was merely pointing out how he’s been involved in the pre-season preparations.

At this stage with so many outlets and journalists alike both saying Jose Mourinho to United is going to happen in the summer, I would be so surprised to see van Gaal in charge next year and I’d be pretty frustrated.
We can’t have another year under the Dutchman because it is so painfully obvious his philosophy simply isn’t suited to the Premier League in the modern game. Having had three years on the downturn since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and with one of the best managers in the world currently sitting unemployed, everything points towards Mourinho.
But until it is official the speculation will continue and as we can see from the outcry following Hayley’s comments, it’s clear fans don’t want to entertain the idea of van Gaal staying around past this summer.
