Manchester United duo Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford are enjoying a good relationship on the pitch and they seem to be getting on well off it too, if their recent visit to Thorpe Park is anything to go by.
Lingard and Rashford put in excellent shifts as Man United beat Everton 2-1 at Wembley to reach the FA Cup final last time out and played crucial roles in an important win, Rashford especially as Everton couldn’t stop him.
And the duo looked to have enjoyed their time off ahead of the clash against Leicester City this weekend.
Lingard and Rashford have broken into the first-team at United this season under the guidance of Louis van Gaal and really progressed. Rashford has taken more of the headlines but Lingard’s proved himself to be a good squad player who I think can go on to make plenty of appearances for United.
Both of them are born and bred in Manchester which has probably helped their friendship grow quicker than most. You can see how much they enjoy playing alongside each other for United and this is only the beginning of their United careers.
Lingard, 23, has had to wait for his chance at United due to injury while Rashford, 18, has enjoyed an unexpectedly swift rise to prominence at Old Trafford and it has been excellent to see two academy graduates grab their opportunities in the first-team. The hope now is that they end the season with silverware.
