Tahith Chong has effectively confirmed his move to Manchester United after revealing Feyenoord failed to do enough to keep him at the club.
The 16-year-old is expected to complete his move to Man United in the summer but up until this stage there has been no official word from either Chong himself or either club involved.
Now, speaking to Elf Voetbal, Chong has admitted Feyenoord’s attempts to hold onto him were not good enough.
He said: “It was my intention to stay at Feyenoord, but no plan was made for me. When I announced that I wanted to leave, they made a plan. That was too late.”
When further questioned about his future, Chong said United gave him a better feeling than Premier League rivals Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.
He added: “At Manchester United I had a better feeling. You can feel immediately when you walk in a club. “
So, Chong has effectively confirmed his move to United then and it’s now simply a case of waiting for an official announcement from either Feyenoord or United.
