Rumoured Manchester United target Felipe Anderson will not be leaving Lazio this summer, according to the Brazilian’s agent and sister.
Winger Anderson has enjoyed a solid campaign for Lazio this season, scoring nine goals in 45 appearances in all competitions for the Italian side. He is under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2020.
There have been reports that Man United are preparing a move worth up to £39m for Anderson but his agent and sister, Juliana Gomes, claimed that Louis van Gaal can forget about signing him.
“My brother won’t be leaving Rome during next summer,” she said.
Van Gaal has often claimed that he is looking to inject “speed and creativity” into his side and Felipe fits the mould when it comes to the type of player United would be looking to bring in.
But the club have several other targets in the likes of Benfica’s Renato Sanches, Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Everton’s John Stones all linked with moves to Old Trafford.
It is important United strengthen what is an unbalanced squad in the summer but supporters will be keen that any new arrivals do not hamper the development of youngsters such as Marcus Rashford, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.
