Manchester United’s potential XI vs Norwich City: Cameron Borthwick-Jackson starts

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal hinted this week that he will be looking to rotate his side against Norwich City on Saturday and the game may see Cameron Borthwick-Jackson come back into the fold as a result.

Borthwick-Jackson, 19, was thrown in at the deep end at Man United over the Christmas period amid an injury crisis but the step up to first team affairs didn’t seem to faze him one bit. In fact, the youngster put in a number of top performances.

Injury hampered Borthwick-Jackson’s progress but he is fit again and he will be keen to return to the starting XI against Norwich:

Borthwick-Jackson’s inclusion may be particularly appealing to van Gaal as Marcos Rojo has been awful recently while Matteo Darmian is suffering mixed fortunes at Old Trafford.

Elsewhere, Morgan Schneiderlin will be looking to fill the defensive midfield position in the absence of the suspended Marouane Fellaini.

Schneiderlin, who, bizarrely, has been in and out of the side this term, should inject some class into the middle of the park for United.
