West Ham vs Manchester United: Strongest XI

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United have been given a golden opportunity in the race for a top four spot this season thanks to Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.

It means we hold all the cards. If we can win both of our remaining Premier League games against West Ham and Bournemouth, we will finish in fourth spot and, against the odds, earn a spot in next year’s UEFA Champions League.

At Carrow Road this weekend, we scraped a 1-0 win when we deserved nothing more than a draw and you saw how much we missed Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford. Heading to Upton Park for the last ever Premier League game there on Tuesday, we desperately need both back in the team.

I’d really like to see Timothy Fosu-Mensah back in the team as well as Dimitri Payet struggled desperately in our FA Cup quarter-final replay. We should try and get Fosu-Mensah on him again because he couldn’t handle his physicality.

After the season we’ve had we can, somehow, finish in the top four but we need to beat a West Ham side who will be fuelled on an emotional night at Upton Park. To do that, we’ve got to put out our strongest team and attack from the outset.
