Zlatan Ibrahimovic: All this speculation will be over soon

Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed speculation surrounding his future transfer will be over very soon.

The Swedish striker is out of contract at the Parc des Princes at the end of the season and has previously hinted he would be willing to move to the Premier League.

He has been been continuously linked with a move to Manchester United with his former Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho widely expected to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford this summer.

Speaking about his future, Zlatan insists the speculation will end soon.

“It depends on others, not just me,” he said.

“What I want is to play, as for where that is, we will see. Soon you’ll know everything and all this speculation will be over.

“I have a good relationship with Milan. I love Milan and in my view it’s the biggest club I ever played for. I didn’t want to leave Milan. My exit from Milan is the past and this is the future. Let’s see what happens.”

While a return to Italy could remain a possibility, it’s clear his agent Raiola and Zlatan are trying to entice more teams into a bidding war. He could genuinely be interested in a move away from Laurent Blanc’s side or may just be looking for a pay rise like Sergio Ramos did with Real Madrid last summer.

He’s scored 35 goals in Ligue 1 this season, more than in any of his previous three seasons at PSG, and has shown no signs of deterioration as he enters the latter stages of his career aged 34.

We all know Zlatan loves Jose and with the Dutchman’s future in doubt at Old Trafford there is every chance he won’t even be here next season. The club is crying out for a new striker and somebody like Ibrahimovic could help bring some real quality into the squad, combining youth and experience to build a solid foundation on.

But, aged 34, not every fan would want to see him join and much like Mourinho he splits opinion. Let us know in the comments whether you would like to see United sign Zlatan.
