Man United vs Bournemouth: Full match-day squad

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United checked into the Lowry Hotel tonight ahead of their final Premier League game of the season against Bournemouth.

Here’s the full 18-man squad (via Manchester Evening News): De Gea, Romero, Valencia, Varela, Smalling, Blind, Jones, Borthwick-Jackson, Herrera, Schneiderlin, Carrick, Mata, Lingard, Memphis, Young, Rooney, Martial, Rashford

The main omission is Marcos Rojo which indicates Cameron Borthwick-Jackson might be set to return at left-back tomorrow. Rojo has been so unbelievably poor in recent games that he’s become more of an asset to our opponents than he has been for United, so his absence is more of a positive thing than anything.

It’s also good to see Guillermo Varela back in the match-day squad after an extended absence. He’s enjoyed a strong breakthrough this year but has found himself frozen out in recent weeks just like Andreas Pereira who still remains absent.

An injury to Adnan Januzaj has given Ashley Young the opportunity to come back into the team too.
